What I Want to Be in 2011
Investing: No more being absorbed in and by my own narrative. I want to break into the narratives of others and create change.
English that Matters: I want more than just English classes. I want my co to make a difference in my clients’ lives. I want to make a difference – influence and impact toward meaningful living – in my teachers’ lives. I want to see mini focus groups form around more compelling life stories, where we challange each other and ourselves to make a difference. To risk more. To attempt great deeds.
I want social change to spill out of what I do. This year I want Epicenter to sponsor a teacher in Haiti. Let’s feed and care for a community of kids there, and be part of building a home and a school. Make positive impact.
